Nutrition for Your Whole Life™ Get Healthy + Stay Healthy is not for those who want a “quick fix” or just want to quickly lose weight to fit into a dress for a special event. It’s for those seeking long-lasting optimal health and/or weight loss and are willing to commit to making it happen.
How do I get started? First, contact us at 212.686.5894 for a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation. This will give us the opportunity to determine if you are really ready to improve your health, and also let us get to know each other to see if we will work well together.
Nutrition for Your Whole Life™ Get Healthy + Stay Healthy begins with two counseling sessions: A 60 minute Initial Assessment/Strategy Session and a 75 minute Follow-Up Session. At the Initial Assessment/Strategy Session we will review your past and present diet, lifestyle, health, medical and family history, assess your body composition, evaluate your current nutritional supplements and set realistic short and long-term goals. This in-depth question and answer process enables the development of an individualized program that addresses your particular needs. You will receive educational materials and beginning recommendations to get you started immediately.
At the 75 minute Follow-Up Session, usually scheduled for a week after your Initial Assessment, you will receive your nutritional program. It will be explained fully and any questions will be answered to make sure that you implement it correctly and enjoy every moment.
Once you have completed the first two sessions you can schedule additional 30 minute follow-up counseling sessions based on your personal goals and progress. These are available as single sessions and in reduced fee 4, 6, and 12 session packages.
How long will it take to achieve my health and/or weight loss goals? While you will begin experiencing changes to your health and/or body composition in the first few weeks, it isn’t possible to create lasting change in such a short amount of time. Reshaping your diet and bad habits takes a commitment of time and effort. Your personal goals and lifestyle, as well as how closely you follow your program, will determine how quickly you’ll see results. Changes to your diet and lifestyle can be done one-step-at-a-time or all at once based on your preferences and abilities.
Will I have to exercise? Absolutely! Whether you want to lose weight or just want to optimize your overall health, you need to incorporate physical activity into your life on a daily basis. For some that will mean going to the gym several times a week. For others it will mean taking the stairs instead of the elevator or walking to and from work instead of taking public transportation. Recommendations for appropriate physical activity and referrals to qualified exercise professionals are all part of Nutrition for Your Whole Life™ Get Healthy + Stay Healthy.
